Victor & Christina — (Evangafrica) Northern Mozambique
Victor began working in his hometown with children off the street and eventually he opened his humble home to orphans. (When he was 20, he was raising 60 kids.) Eventually he married Christina and together they have grown their center/home to accommodate many orphaned children. Many of them have grown up to be leaders in their own right, some doctors, nurses, teachers, mechanics, pastors and more. A few years ago, they expanded more to put a private school on their property which has grown to over 700 students. This is probably the best school in the area. 100 students are on full scholarships. His vision for helping others never ceases. Currently he is in the beginning stages of building a clinic which will bring hope, health, healing and love to a community that only just now received electricity. Evangafrica is the name of Victor and Christina’s ministry. It reaches the community at large. CFO-MOZ helps with the funding of the orphans under his care along with various projects that come along.
Elias and Cibele — (New Life Ministry) Southern Mozambique
Elias and Cibele felt led to start a ministry in a sprawling village in southern Mozambique. This area is riddled with severe poverty and witchcraft. They have gradually made inroads into life there including having a ministry through a quality preschool, through caring for abandoned widows, and working with orphans living with families. CFO-MOZ was able to help build a much needed well and bring in electricity to many. They are currently building a new building to launch a primary school. Elias and Cibele advocate for the children in their schools and provide needed school materials. They provide food and mentoring. CFO-MOZ has been very involved with funding many projects that have been completed.
Chosen Children — Central/Western Mozambique
Through our times in Mozambique, we became acquainted with Renuka and her husband Joe from Canada. They are passionate about helping with the needs of children and communities. They established an organization called Chosen Children and we are a major contributor to this work. They have built Grace Center on a remote hill near Chimoio. It began on a piece of unkempt land that was full of weeds and wild trees. They found Mozambique leaders to lead the ministry. Oscar and his family lead this amazing ministry which now includes a preschool, the beginning of an elementary school, Saturday programs, literacy classes for women, sewing classes, discipleship, sports programs and more. It is a thriving center with beautiful grounds. Many homes are being built near there as people are drawn to the hope and help they receive there.
Abel and Amina Faz-Ver
Abel was a long-time friend (30 years) and ministry partner. For nearly twenty years, Abel and Amina cared for approximately forty-five orphaned children. Abel also pastored churches, discipled leaders, helped plant churches, and had a passion for putting God’s Word into people’s hands in the tribal languages they understood best. Sadly, Abel’s died this year (2026). We are sorry for the loss so many are experiencing and honor his dedication, his love, his joy and his faith and service for our Lord. He will be sorely missed. His wife Amina is continuing the work.
